Throughout the years, the Army Surplus IG has become the biggest retailer of army gear whether new or used in the city of Montreal. In addition to existing for so long under the same ownership the Army Surplus holds bragging rights in being the first store of its kind to open its doors in the whole French-Canadian province of Quebec.

A lot of the products in the Surplus come and go since a lot of it is either surplus, used, antiques, or just discontinued merchandise that once sold is never seen again.
